Dental Sealants
A quick and painless way to protect your child’s back teeth from cavities.
Sealants can last several years with proper oral care and regular dental checkups. They may need to be reapplied if they wear down over time.
While sealants are most commonly used in children, teens and even adults with deep grooves in their molars can benefit from them too.

What is it?
Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth—where cavities are most likely to develop. They serve as a barrier to block out food particles and bacteria.

How it works:
• The back teeth are cleaned and dried.
• A special gel is applied to help the sealant bond to the tooth.
• The sealant is painted onto the grooves of the molars.
• A blue curing light is used to harden the material. The application is quick, painless, and completely non-invasive.

Who is it for?
Dental sealants are ideal for children and teens with newly erupted permanent molars. They’re especially beneficial for those prone to cavities or with deep grooves in their teeth. Sealants offer long-lasting protection and are one of the most effective preventive dental treatments for kids.
